Google Group

Keera Studios manages a Google Group for Android Application Beta Testers, operated by Google Inc (Google). The group is linked to our Beta applications, so that only members of the group are allowed (by Google Play) to install our beta applications on their Android phones. Occasionally, we also send announcements to the group whenever new versions of our games are ready to be beta-tested, in case group members want to try them.

Google Groups has its own privacy policy, which you can consult at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/ and http://www.google.com/googlegroups/privacy_changes.html. Google Groups offers you the possibility of abandoning the group at any time via their web interface. You can also control how many emails you receive, and whether you would prefer to read the announcements directly on the web instead of by email. Consult https://support.google.com/groups/answer/1047839?hl=en to understand how to manage your subscription settings.

When you request to subscribe to our beta-testers Google Group, Google discloses your name and email to us. We use this email to communicate personally and privately with you regarding the beta programme, for instance, to send you instructions on how to install our applications, what to expect when you run them, what information we need to collect as part of the beta-testing process and when new versions of beta applications are available. We treat your email address as confidential.

For specific terms on our beta programme please consult Beta Testing Programme Terms and Conditions.

Mobile Applications

Keera Studios Ltd distributes applications and games on Google Play for Android, and iTunes. In general, we take privacy very seriously, and our apps generally do not request any personal user data, including social network handles or any private information. Currently, our apps allow you to, voluntarily, visit our social pages, but they do so by launching other applications on your phone (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), and not by asking you to connect your account to our systems or by giving us access to your social network accounts. Nevertheless, we do reserve the right to publish new applications that allow you to share your score online, participate in social interactions and share your progress with your friends, but always in a non-invasive, voluntary way that clearly indicates what will be shared and with whom, and gives you a way to cancel that communication before being sent.

Our apps store a minimal amount of information on your device for the purposes of facilitating their use. For example, when you close our game, the last level that you were able to play will be stored in your local preferences or a similar system provided by your phone manufacturer. This information is not transferred to us, although your phone manufacturer may opt to synchronize it with their severs if you have enabled synchronization settings on your device. We take every measure reasonable to store this information in a private area, and not let any unauthorized apps access it. Nevertheless, this information is generally limited to minor application settings, and does not contain personal information beyond what you may have provided to our app voluntarily. Our apps do not ask you for sensitive information, except when a feature is being sold separately, in which case your payment details will be required to complete the transaction (in-app payments). We rely on your existing features provided by iTunes and Google Play for Android to process in-app payments, and only collect the minimal amount of information provided by the store in order to verify that the purchase has taken place correctly.

Online stores share a certain amount of data with us. For example, for every unit of every app sold, we can see the date, time, country of purchase currency used, and whether the operation was denied. We get aggregate data about the number of installs in each country, broken down by OS version, phone provider, and other information. In principle, and especially if the number of downloads/sales is high, this information alone is not enough to identify a specific user. Nevertheless, it may be possible to identify your specific purchase and obtain further details when you submit a bug report to us. Bug reports contain information that the application outputs in a debugging log, and include the user’s model, plus other information that your phone may be automatically printing to the debug log and could be used to identify you. We only access that information if you voluntarily decide to submit it to us if the application malfunctions, and only use it for the purposes of trying to fix the bug that lead to that malfunction. That information is not used to sell you any products, nor is it sold to any other company. Our applications do not try to obtain any personal information during execution to try to identify you, and they do not try to communicate this information back to us in any form. If in doubt about what our application may do, please verify the permissions granted to the application during installation.

We also distribute applications for the purposes of beta testing, to gather user’s opinions about a game prior to its official, public release. The distribution of applications as part of our beta programme are governed by the Beta Testing Programme Terms and Conditions.

Although this website only looks to include quality, safe and relevant external links, users are advised to adopt a policy of caution before clicking any external web links mentioned throughout this website. (External links are clickable text / banner / image links to other websites, similar to: www.example.com and this.)

The owners of this website cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website despite their best efforts. Users should therefore note they click on external links at their own risk and this website and its owners cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned.

This website may contain sponsored links and adverts. These will typically be served through our advertising partners, to whom may have detailed privacy policies relating directly to the adverts they serve.

Clicking on any such adverts will send you to the advertisers website through a referral program which may use cookies and will track the number of referrals sent from this website. This may include the use of cookies which may in turn be saved on your computers hard drive. Users should therefore note they click on sponsored external links at their own risk and this website and its owners cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned.

Social Media Platforms

Communication, engagement and actions taken through external social media platforms that this website and its owners participate on are custom to the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policies held with each social media platform respectively.

Users are advised to use social media platforms wisely and communicate / engage upon them with due care and caution in regard to their own privacy and personal details. This website nor its owners will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as by telephone or email.

This website may use social sharing buttons which help share web content directly from web pages to the social media platform in question. Users are advised before using such social sharing buttons that they do so at their own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.

Advertisements on Social Platforms

We use social networks, namely Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin, to advertise our products. You may see our products advertised on your social feed, regardless of whether you have or have not visited our website or used our apps.

Social media networks generally allow us to target ads to specific audiences, broken down by multiple criteria, such as language, phone model, or median income. We normally do not use this data to gather information about specific individuals, but, rather, use agglomerated data to better understand our audience and tailor ads in the most effective way. In particular, we do not use additional social apps to post on your account in your behalf, or to get information about your network of friends.

However, because we rely on existing applications, like Facebook and Twitter, to distribute our ads, you should be aware that they may be using such information to decide whether they should show an ad to you or to your friends. Other information that they may use to determine whether to show you one of our ads may include which websites you have visited, including ours. Such fine-grained decisions and logic about how to optimize ad distribution generally lie out of our control. We recommend that you generally protect yourself and your privacy on social networks by limiting what you disclose in social networks, and that you use a different browser for social networks than you normally use for other websites.

This website and its owners through their social media platform accounts may share web links to relevant web pages. By default some social media platforms shorten lengthy urls (this is an example: http://bit.ly/zyVUBo).

Users are advised to take caution and good judgement before clicking any shortened urls published on social media platforms by this website and its owners. Despite the best efforts to ensure only genuine urls are published many social media platforms are prone to spam and hacking and therefore this website and its owners cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any shortened links.
